What does the Daspletosaurus look like?
The Daspletosaurus was a fearsome predator that resembled a smaller version of the Tyrannosaurus rex.
It had a massive head with a long snout and a powerful bite, armed with dozens of serrated teeth.
Its eyes faced forward, giving it binocular vision and depth perception.
This a fearsome predator had a thick neck and a muscular body, supported by two strong hind legs with three-toed feet.
Its tail was long and stiff, acting as a counterbalance for its heavy front.
The Daspletosaurus forelimbs were very short and had only two fingers each, probably used for grasping prey or mates.
It was covered with scales and possibly some feathers, especially on its head and back.
The Daspletosaurus grew up to 9 meters (30 feet) long and weighed up to 2.5 tons (5,500 pounds).
