Baryonyx was a large, two-legged dinosaur that belonged to the Spinosauridae family.
It lived in the Early Cretaceous period, about 130 to 125 million years ago, in what is now Europe.
Baryonyx had a long, narrow, and flat skull that resembled a crocodile's, with many small, cone-shaped teeth that were good for catching fish.
This dinosaur also had a large claw, about 31 centimeters (12 inches) long, on each of its thumbs, which it may have used to hook fish or other prey.
Its body was robust and muscular, with a long neck and a hump or ridge along its back.
Baryonyx was about 8.5 meters (28 feet) long and weighed about 1.8 metric tons (2 short tons).
