Some say we are monsters, cursed by the moon
We hunt and we kill, we bring death and doom
We have no control, we are slaves to our blood
We are evil by nature, we are nothing but mud
Some say we are heroes, blessed by the sky
We protect and we serve, we fight and we die
We have free will, we are masters of our fate
We are good by nature, we are noble and great
Some say we are outcasts, shunned by the world
We hide and we suffer, we are lonely and curled
We have no place, we are strangers to our kind
We are neither evil nor good, we are lost and blind
We say we are werewolves, children of the night
We live and we love, we have joy and fright
We have both sides, we are human and beast
We are what we are, we are werewolves at least
They have enhanced senses, such as hearing, smell, and vision, even in the dark.
Werewolves have unusual hair growth, especially on their hands, feet, and face.
These creatures have sharp teeth and nails, which may grow longer during the full moon.
They have a strong appetite for meat, especially raw or rare.
Werewolves may have scars or wounds from their transformations or fights with other werewolves.
They have enhanced strength, speed, senses, and healing abilities.
They are vulnerable to silver weapons, wolfsbane, and religious symbols.
They can infect others with their bite or scratch, turning them into werewolves as well.
They may have a human personality or a feral instinct, depending on the version of the legend.
When the moon is full and bright,
The werewolf wakes from its slumber.
It sheds its human skin and clothes,
And reveals its true form and hunger.
It runs through the woods and fields,
Hunting for prey with its keen nose.
It howls and snarls and growls,
And strikes fear in all who oppose.
It feels the thrill of the chase,
The power of the beast within.
It lives for the moment, the night,
And cares not for virtue or sin.
But when the dawn breaks and the sun rises,
The werewolf returns to its bed.
It regains its human shape and mind,
And tries to forget what it did.
When the moon is full and bright
He feels a change within his skin
His bones and muscles twist and stretch
He sheds his human form and sin
He grows a coat of fur and claws
His eyes glow yellow in the night
He howls and snarls with savage jaws
He hunts for prey with keen delight
He is no longer man nor beast
He is a hybrid of both worlds
He is the cursed, the feared, the shunned
He is the werewolf, he unfurls
