Ram is a kind of sheep
With horns that curl and sweep
He lives among the mountains high
And grazes on the grasses dry
He is the leader of his flock
And guards them from the wolf and hawk
He is a noble animal
And very strong and loyal
A ram is a male bighorn sheep, a species of wild sheep that lives in the mountains of North America.
It has long, curved horns that can weigh up to 14 kg (30 lb), and long fur that is usually brown, white, or tan.
A ram has split hooves that help it balance on rocky ledges, and good eyesight that allows it to spot predators and other sheep from far away.
It is typically 5 to 6 feet (1.5 to 1.8 m) long and weighs 262 to 280 lbs. (119 to 127 kg).
