Everest, interpreting the enthusiastic flapping and squawking, realized Bandit had concocted a daring plan.

Rick, sensing an opportunity for a bit of fun, suggested, "You know, if you really want that Heated Pad, you might need to show a bit of, let's say, resourcefulness."

Everest and Bandit put their heads together. Bandit hopped onto Everest's shoulder and began a series of elaborate distractions - flapping, squawking, and performing an impromptu aerial ballet. Meanwhile, Everest, pretending to be deeply engrossed in a discussion about the virtues of snake-proof hats, subtly reached into the display case with a long stick.
