Lion

• Grasslands are good for lions because they have plenty of herbivores, such as wildebeest, zebra, and buffalo, that lions can hunt.

• Scrub habitats are not ideal for lions, but some lions can adapt to them by using the little water and prey available along waterways.

  Some of the lions that live in scrub habitats are the desert-adapted lions of Namibia, which can be found along the Skeleton Coast and the Kunene River.

  Woodlands also provide lions with shade and cover, but can also limit their visibility and mobility.
