Where does the Flying squirrel live?

The flying squirrel is a type of rodent that can glide through the air using flaps of skin between its limbs.
It does not actually fly, but rather uses its gliding ability to escape predators and move between trees.
The flying squirrel lives in various types of forests, depending on the species.
Some of the habitats where flying squirrels can be found are:
  • Deciduous forests.
These forests are common in North America, Europe, and Asia.

  • Coniferous forests.
These forests are also found in North America, Europe, and Asia, especially in colder regions.

  • Mixed forests.
These forests are found in some parts of North America, Europe, and Asia.
They prefer to nest in hickory and beech trees, which produce nuts that they store for winter.

  • Tropical and subtropical forests, where the climate is warm and humid.
These forests are found in Southeast Asia, Malaysia, Borneo, Indonesia, and Central America.
They nest in tree hollows or branches, and are active mostly at night.
