Duiker
Where does the Duiker live?
A duiker is a small to medium-sized antelope native to sub-Saharan Africa, found in heavily wooded areas.
It live in different habitats depending on the species.
Some duikers, such as the blue duiker and the yellow-backed duiker, live in montane, riverine, and rainforests.
Other duikers, such as the common or Grimm's duiker, live mostly in moist savannas and avoid rain forests.
The common duiker is the most widespread of all duikers, found in forests and savannas across East Africa.
Duikers are adapted to their environment by having low-slung bodies on slender legs, wedge-shaped heads topped by a crest of long hair, and relatively large eyes.
With their heads held close to the ground, they can move easily through the dense vegetation of forests and bushlands.
