Banteng

A banteng is a kind of cattle that lives in Southeast Asia.

It has a long body, white markings on the face, legs and rump, and horns on both males and females.

The males are dark brown or black, while the females are pale brown or red.

Bantengs are social animals that form herds of up to 30 individuals.

They eat grasses, leaves, fruits and other plants.

• The banteng has been domesticated for thousands of years in some parts of Southeast Asia, especially in Bali and eastern Indonesia.

• Domesticated banteng have been introduced to other regions, such as Australia, Malaysia, and New Guinea, where they have formed feral populations.
