Austriadactyl is a kind of pterosaur, an extinct group of flying reptiles that lived in the Mesozoic Era.

It was one of the earliest and most primitive pterosaurs, dating back to the Late Triassic period, about 215 million years ago.

Austriadactyl was found in Tyrol, Austria, in a formation called the Seefelder Beds.

It had a long and slender skull with a bony crest on the front.

This animal had different types of teeth, some small and three-pointed, and some larger and single-pointed.

It had a long and flexible tail that did not have the stiffening extensions seen in other pterosaurs.

It was a small animal, with a wingspan of about 1.2 meters and a body length of about 90 centimeters.

Austriadactyl probably used its tail as a rudder to steer while flying, and its crest as a display structure to attract mates or signal to other members of its species.
