Long ago, before the stars shimmered in the heavens, when the earth was still young and the winds spoke in forgotten tongues, there existed a being of such profound grace and strength that even the gods took pause to listen when he spoke. His name was Sandalphon, the first Guardian Angel, the protector of creatures lost to time, and the steward of the balance between the mortal world and the unseen realms. His wings were said to be woven from the light of the first dawn, and his presence was felt as a whisper in the wind, a shadow in the corners of reality.
Sandalphon's story begins not with the light, but with the darkness. The ancient world was teeming with mythical creatures - beasts of legend, spirits of the forgotten, and gods that had been cast down from Olympus. These beings had been driven into hiding as humanity spread across the earth, fearing their power and magic. But the creatures, though mighty and ancient, had a different kind of wisdom - they knew that balance must be kept, that the world of men and the world of the supernatural could never fully sever their ties.

Here stands Sandalphon, regal in white, sword at the ready. His majestic wings extend behind him, revealing a guardian destined to protect the realms of light from lurking darkness.
At the time, the mortal realm was not as it is now. It was a place where the lines between what was real and what was imagined were not yet drawn. Creatures such as dragons, faeries, and titans roamed freely, and the gods themselves sometimes descended to walk among men. But as mankind's numbers grew, so did their fear. They began to forget the old ways, and the creatures of legend became seen as threats, as beings to be hunted, captured, and destroyed. A great war between the supernatural beings and the humans seemed inevitable.
But there was one who would not let this happen: Sandalphon.
He was not like the other angels who had been sent to guide and protect humanity; he had been chosen for a different purpose. Sandalphon was a bridge between worlds, a protector not just of the human soul, but of the realm of the mystical creatures, whose survival depended on the harmony between the two realms.
It is said that in the early days, when Sandalphon first became a Guardian, he was entrusted with a sacred duty. The ancient gods, seeing the potential for a world undone by chaos, summoned him to the celestial courts. They told him that he was to remain unseen by mortals, to protect the secret places where the mythical creatures sought refuge. He was to guard the portals between worlds, to keep both humanity and the creatures of legend from clashing in open war.
His first task came when a great beast known as the Leviathan, a serpent of enormous proportions, emerged from the deep waters of the world's oceans. The Leviathan was a creature of both great power and great wisdom, ancient beyond reckoning, and its return to the surface was an omen of doom. It had not risen since the birth of the first civilizations, but with the growing tension between the realms, it was drawn to the surface, threatening to destroy everything in its path.
As the Leviathan slithered through the oceans, wreaking havoc and causing storms to churn, Sandalphon descended to confront it. The first encounter between the two was not one of battle, but of understanding. Sandalphon spoke with the Leviathan in a language older than time itself. He reminded the beast of the agreement made long ago between the creatures of myth and the children of men - that their worlds would remain separate, and that peace was the only way forward.
But the Leviathan was consumed by rage, for it saw humanity as a growing force of destruction, tainting the very fabric of the earth. "You are bound by rules that no longer serve the world," the beast roared. "The balance you seek to maintain is an illusion, a dying dream."

In a moment of strength, Arariel showcases her fierce spirit, standing ready with her sword. The gracefulness of her wings melds with her determination, embodying a guardian ready to face any challenge with courage.
And yet, Sandalphon did not yield. Instead, he spoke of hope, of the possibility that both the human world and the realm of myth could coexist. He asked the Leviathan to trust him, and to give him one chance to prove that peace could still be achieved.
The two parted, not in violence, but in solemn agreement - an agreement that allowed Sandalphon to fulfill his role as the protector of the ancient creatures. But he knew that his work was not yet done, for other beings, like the Leviathan, were stirring.
For millennia, Sandalphon kept his vigil, walking between the worlds, speaking to dragons who slept beneath the mountains, listening to the whispers of the faeries who lived in the hearts of trees. He nurtured hidden realms where myth and magic still thrived, places untouched by human hands, where the creatures of legend could live in peace.
But as time passed, humans began to forget the old ways altogether. They began to build cities and temples, harnessing powers they did not understand, awakening dark forces that threatened not only the magical creatures but the fabric of the world itself. The veil between the realms began to weaken.
One of the greatest threats to the harmony of the realms came when a mortal king, driven by greed and ambition, sought to open the portal to the realm of the gods, hoping to harness their power to conquer the world. In doing so, he unwittingly tore at the very seams of reality, causing the worlds to bleed into one another.
Sandalphon intervened at the last moment, using all of his celestial might to seal the rift, but not before one of the most terrible of the ancient creatures - an entity known as the Shadow Wyrm - escaped into the mortal world. This dark beast was said to be the offspring of chaos itself, capable of undoing the fabric of creation.
For centuries, the world knew peace, but with the coming of the Shadow Wyrm, that peace was shattered. Sandalphon, knowing the power of the wyrm, sought the help of the last surviving creatures of legend - the ancient dragons, who had long kept to their hidden caverns, and the faeries who guarded the last sacred groves.

Witness the peaceful presence of the white angel, who stands in quiet contemplation. With candlelight flickering softly, she radiates warmth and wisdom, illuminating the shadows around her with divine grace.
In a final, desperate battle, the creatures of myth fought alongside Sandalphon to banish the Shadow Wyrm back to its prison. But Sandalphon knew that he could not keep the balance alone. He had seen the darkness that humans could bring, but also the light they could create. And so, as the Shadow Wyrm fell into the abyss, he made a vow: to protect both the human world and the realm of magic, forever watching over the veil that separated them.
And so, Sandalphon remains, a silent guardian of the unseen realms, a being of light who walks between the worlds. He is neither seen nor heard by those who do not believe, but his influence remains. The creatures of myth continue to thrive in their hidden corners, protected by his watchful gaze, and the balance between the worlds holds - for now.
Thus, the legend of Sandalphon lives on, a testament to the eternal struggle between light and darkness, between the mortal and the supernatural, and the hope that, one day, peace may again reign between all realms.
